WEBINAR SERIES: BACK TO SCHOOL 2020

Back to School 2020: Returning Amid a Pandemic

Join GA4LE for a 3-part, interactive webinar series designed to provide information, resources, and direction for those hard questions that are keeping you up at night as you’re contemplating, planning, and preparing for schools to reopen. Let’s share our strategies, thoughts, and approaches among peers.

Not your ordinary webinar, this will be an interactive experience, presented by David Sturtz of Cooperative Strategies, with small breakout work groups, Q&A, and peer networking addressing the integral topics of capacity, health & hygiene, policy, teaching & learning, equity, and more.

GA4LE’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

We hope this message finds you well and not personally impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. These are uncertain and anxiety-inducing times as we all work to make the best decisions for our members, attendees, and communities.  GA4LE has been monitoring COVID-19 advisories to inform all our decisions impacting GA4LE meetings, events, and conferences.

Based on what is known at this time, the GA4LE board has made the difficult, but necessary, decision to CANCEL the 2020 Summer Conference. When opening registration in March, we were hopeful the conference would be held as usual, unfortunately it has not worked out to do that safely with the number of attendees, programming, and agenda our event maintains.

The association has two options, cease operations for 2020 due to the pandemic and associated restrictions or continue operations and shift to a virtual platform, develop additional content and maintain operations until it’s safe to meet in person again. The board has chosen the latter and will continue to operate the remainder of this year, providing content, activities, and sponsorship benefits. The primary difference being the conference will not happen in 2020.
